Northern Colorado: Stephen Miller, WR
Stephen Miller has quietly put together a good season for Northern Colorado (Northern Colorado Athletics).
Northern Colorado coach Earnest Collins Jr. said, "I feel like Stephen Miller is our unsung hero. He just goes out and does his job day in and day out and never gets talked about. He just put up 143 yards receiving against Portland State last weekend, but you didn't hear about it. I didn't know this until last week, but he's leading the conference in yards per catch, so his stats are deceptively quiet. He also plays on special teams for us and goes out and blocks his butt off. He's one of those actions speak louder than words leaders. He goes out and performs every week for us, but is humble about it. He lets his game do his talking for him, which I respect about the kid."
Miller leads the team in receiving yards with 722, but maybe doesn't get as much recognition as he deserves because he's not the biggest red zone threat – he has two touchdowns on the season. He averages 18.51 yards per reception though, so he's definitely a great vertical threat.
