He still has at least one more football game left in collegiate career, but at least one NFL Draft analyst thinks South Dakota State tight end Dallas Goedert will be a first-round selection in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Todd McShay released his first 2018 mock draft for ESPN and has the Pittsburgh Steelers selecting Goedert with the 31st pick in the upcoming draft.
Here's what he has to say about the fit:
"This is a bit of a reach for the top tight end in this class — I have a mid- to late-second-round grade on him — but Goedert is an underrated talent who has dominated his small-school competition. He has the athletic ability to give linebackers issues, and his size (6-foot-4, 258 pounds) is trouble for CBs. The postseason process will be big for him to prove he belongs."
As McShay says, he thinks Goedert is the top tight end in the NFL draft class but says he is likely a second-round talent, though his upside might be too much too pass on.

Goedert, heading into the semifinal round of the FCS playoffs, has 67 catches for 1,068 yards and 6 touchdowns, and is averaging 15.9 yards per catch and 82.2 yards per game.
His numbers are a bit down from last season, when he exploded with 92 catches for 1,293 yards and 11 scores. He's caught 193 career passes for 2,945 yards and 20 touchdowns, and averages over 15 yards a catch on his career.
Goedert is likely to be the first FCS player off of the board come the 2018 NFL Draft.
