Nine quarterbacks have thrown for at least 600 yards in a game in FBS history. Five of them were Big 12 players, all of whom are among the top six, all having passed for at least 640 yards in a single game.
Which five Big 12 quarterbacks have hit the 600-yard single-game passing mark?

Answer
Patrick Mahomes – 734 Yards
B.J. Symons – 661 Yards
Geno Smith – 656 Yards
Graham Harrell – 646 Yards
Cody Hodges – 643 Yards
Unsurprisingly, the list is dominated by Texas Tech; the Red Raiders own four of the top five passing games in Big 12 history.
B.J. Symons was the first Big 12 quarterback to pass for more than 600 yards, doing so in 2003. Thirteen years later, another Texas Tech quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, set the Big 12 passing record — and tied the national record (Connor Halliday, Washington State) — with 734 yards against Oklahoma.
