Despite starting the season 2-3, Colorado State is in a good position to appear in the Mountain West Championship game.
The Rams have won their last three games, all against MW foes. But they’ll want another victory this weekend if they want to have a shot at winning their league.
CSU will go on the road this weekend to take on Nevada, which is 3-6 overall but has been competitive all season. The Wolf Pack lost to teams like SMU, Georgia Southern, Fresno State, San Jose State by just one possession and defeated Oregon State earlier this year.
So this likely won’t be an easy game for Colorado State.

Colorado State vs. Nevada Prediction
I predict Nevada will win and cover the spread at +2.5. I also project this game will go Over 45.5 total points.
Nevada has been a challenging opponent for almost everyone this season, except Hawaii last week as the Wolf Pack lost 34-13. But if the rest of the season is any indication, first-year Nevada head coach Jeff Choate is turning the program around quickly.
Before last week, Nevada had been averaging 35.8 points per contest over a four-game stretch. With players like quarterback Brendon Lewis, Nevada should be capable of putting up points in this matchup.
And considering CSU only beat Air Force and New Mexico, which have a combined record of 4-11 this season, in close games the past few weeks, I don’t have the most confidence in the Rams right now. And that’s especially true with star wide receiver Tory Horton expected to be out for the season.
I think Nevada is capable of pulling off another upset here.
